Love One Another
Dear Parents,
What tracks are we leaving behind? This was the key question that our KB class asked us to reflect on this morning during chapel. In the same way that animals leave behind distinct prints or tracks that make them identifiable, we too have an imprint that we leave on the places and people we encounter. As others observe these tracks, what do they find and could they identify that we are followers of Christ?
In John 13:35, we learn that disciples ought to be identified by their love that is on display. This includes both a love for one another and for others including our neighbours and enemies. It is a trademark or characteristic of a Christian that should be so visible that it points others to Jesus and the work he has done in each life.
This also connects to our legacy as a school over the past 60 years and the tracks we have left on the Burlington community. There are many tangible ways that we can identify the love of Christ that has spurred us on to be a blessing in our community in a variety of ways, particularly the New Street (formerly) and Tansley Woods area. Our hope is that when people hear the word “Trinity Christian School”, they can identify us as followers of Jesus who have made and continue to make a difference in the way we love others. Additionally, it is in our students that go on to live lives of impact for Jesus as they live out their faith and reflect Him.
This is part of some of the stories that we are excited to share with you at our upcoming Gala and through our 60th Anniversary video that will be available soon. We continue to pray that the tracks that we leave moving forward point our world to Jesus and we invite you to be part of the next steps in the journey.
Blessings,
J-D Lussier, Principal
