Journeying With Hope

Dear Parents,

Last week, we had the privilege of having Alex and Rachel Kariuki visit us during chapel to tell us about the incredible work they are doing in Madagascar through their ministry called Abba’s Home. They shared their passion for sharing the gospel to the lost and giving them hope through Jesus. Last December, we partnered with Abba’s Home by raising over $1000 in Candy Cane sales at Trinity, which we sent to them to support a school that they started next to a village dump in Madagascar. What an amazing opportunity to hear first hand about the impact this had on the children there.

Over the next 3 days, our vice-principal, Sara Flokstra, and I are spending time at the Christian Schools Canada conference being held in Halifax. We started our time off this evening at a reception and opening plenary session at Pier 21, where countless families can trace their heritage back to this first touch point in Canada. As a place where new beginnings and optimism ran deep, it is fitting that our theme for the conference is Journeying With Hope. Regardless of where we have come from, we know that God has given us this hope in Him and a bright future that transcends our backgrounds and cultures. We can find a sense of unity and learn from each other, as God continues to weave His story using the threads of our lives.

Blessings,

J-D Lussier, Principal
