Gift of Jesus’ love
Dear Parents,
As we near the culmination of the Advent season and the end of another year, it is a great opportunity to think about where we are at in the present and contemplate the future. This was a key takeaway from our Christmas chapel this morning, as we looked back in History as to what God accomplished. From the very beginning of time, God had a plan, a rescue plan in fact, which was His son Jesus that He would send to Earth as the greatest gift of all.
Thanks to that plan, we can receive this long awaited gift in the present, which impacts our relationship with God now and in the future, as our hearts are filled with hope of what is to come when Jesus returns and makes things new and right.
This is the powerful message of Christmas that we can focus on and share this year with those around us. It is the gift of Jesus’ love that produces joy in our hearts. This is why we sing the chorus “Joy to the world, the Lord has come” and follow the imperative to “let every heart prepare Him room”. He is the reason we can experience true joy today and forever.
We thank the Grade 1 class for leading us so well and reminding us of these truths this morning.
As you spend time celebrating and remembering Jesus’ birth this Christmas, our prayer is that your hearts will be filled with His love and joy this Christmas. We pray that God will bless each of your families and meet you wherever you are at. We are excited for the new year ahead and all that God has in store for our school and for each family represented in our community.
We wish you and your family the Merriest Christmas and most blessed New Year!
Blessings,
J-D Lussier, Principal
