Fruit of the Spirit

Dear Parents,

We were privileged to have a special guest this morning at chapel. The voice of the Toronto Raptors, Mr. Herbie Kuhn joined us this morning. He connected some of the milestones he has experienced this year, as a member of the Raptors for the past 30 years, and our school’s celebration of 60 years. The common threads were God’s incredible faithfulness and His firm foundation.

While he grew up hearing about Jesus and attended Sunday school, it was 29 years ago that he found his true calling as a follower of Jesus. This has given purpose to his work, as he has a platform to shine his light for Jesus in a public setting. Furthermore, Herbie Kuhn has used his platform to be a Chaplain/Pastor to professional basketball and football players. He holds services for the Raptors and Argos along with their opponents during game days. What a wonderful way to use his voice for God’s kingdom.

In the same way, he encouraged our students to build on the foundational relationship with Jesus and flourish by bearing fruit. He shared Galatians 5:22-23 that outline what bearing good fruit looks like, as the Holy Spirit lives and works in us. As we continue to celebrate the past 60 years this weekend at our gala, we are excited to hear about the foundation that our alumni built at Trinity and the fruit they are bearing. We are equally thankful for what God is doing in our current students and what He will continue to do in years to come.

Blessings,

J-D Lussier, Principal
