Being a Faithful Presence in Burlington
Dear Parents,
Last week, I had the privilege to attend the Christian Schools Canada Conference. We were challenged to think about what it means to be a faithful presence in our communities, both as individuals and collectively as schools. We were reminded of the stories in the Bible that speak about the marginalized and most vulnerable in society. His Word encourages us to show love to strangers and those who have less than us.
In this season of Thanksgiving, let us reflect on all of the ways that God has blessed us and give thanks for His faithfulness. I would also encourage us to go one step further by finding ways to give to others around us who are experiencing need. Many students have demonstrated this by contributing to our Terry Fox Day and our food drive. Thanks so much for supporting these initiatives, as we demonstrate what it is to be a community that is a faithful presence following God’s leading.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving. May this be a special time of celebration and rest, as we take part in the bounty of God’s provision and enjoy the beauty of nature during the fall season.
