God’s Faithfulness
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! We are excited for the 2nd half of the school year and the continued celebrations of our 60th anniversary. Throughout the year, we have kept coming back to our theme of being Firmly Founded in Christ. Both our identity as a school as well as individuals is found in Him.
We also feel secure, because of His faithfulness that continues to be on display. This is at the heart of our theme verse in Psalm 89:1-2, which reads:
“I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.” This is what we continue to celebrate and build on, knowing that God’s love is forever along with His care and provision.
As we focus on the later half of the year, we want to explore what Faithfully Flourishing means on a deeper level. God’s faithfulness to us enables us to flourish and bear fruit for Him. When we think of a piece of fruit, it provides sweet and delicious nourishment in the moment, giving us energy to do work and continue on our journey. It also contains small, but powerful seeds for the future.
Those seeds when planted and watered are what develop into a new tree and harvest that creates sustained flourishing in years to come. Our hope is exactly that: to create an environment where our current students are prepared for and starting to flourish, so that they can continue God’s work in their generation and those to come. While we celebrate what has been accomplished, we want to fix our gaze on the horizon so that a whole forest of trees bearing fruit will be there as well.
We hope that you will join us in making this a reality. One of the best ways you can do this is a commitment to pray for us this New Year. We cannot accomplish anything without it, as we are fully dependent on the Lord. In addition, we invite you to join us for several events in the coming months. Together, we will continue to move forward and do this work for God’s glory.
Blessings,
