God’s Masterpieces

Dear Parents,

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” In the New Living Translation, the word “handiwork” has been translated to “masterpiece”. We believe that each person that walks into our building is in fact a masterpiece that God has made.

Like any masterpiece, the process takes time and does not happen overnight. God continues to add layers, vivid colours, and countless brushstrokes in order to create the image He desires. At times, the canvas of our lives may seem messy or not look like much at all; however, God has the full picture in mind. We trust and know that He is making all things beautiful in us.

Similarly, the learning process takes on a number of phases that may seem haphazard, but are part of a systematic plan to lead each child to acquire greater knowledge and wisdom. This begins to take shape when coupled with the lens of God’s word. From there, it takes on even greater significance when the work leads to creating something authentic and beautiful.

At Trinity, our hope is to help each child, God’s masterpieces, become creators of beautiful work that reflect God and lead others to Him. This can take on many different forms that touch on writing, math, art, music, and so much more.

If you would like to observe a small sample of the beautiful work that your children have created, I invite you to walk through our hallways or stop by my office. Our art teacher, Mrs. Bulthuis, recently installed a beautiful piece of art in our stairwell and a small gallery in my office to showcase the work that our students have done.

Sincerely,
J-D Lussier, Principal
